We’re playing catch up with the big boys of the big four! Metallica recently dropped a brand new single, Screaming Suicide, and have more news concerning the release of their upcoming new album 72 Seasons.
Their new single, Screaming Suicide, as one might gather from the title, covers a very serious subject, one the band thinks still does not get enough attention.
Screaming Suicide follows on from 72 Seasons first single, the highly enjoyable sprint that is Lux Æterna. 72 Seasons will be released on Metallica’s own label Blackened Recordings on April 14th 2023.
To celebrate the release of 72 Seasons, Metallica will host a global theatre and cinema event on the day before the album’s release, April 13th. Across cinemas worldwide, Metallica fans will get to experience the new album in full. This includes music videos for every song along with other exclusive content from the band. Tickets for this one night only event will be available from Metallica.film on the 2nd of March.
Metallica will return to the UK this Summer as double night headliners for the 20th anniversary of the Download Festival. They will headline the Thursday and Saturday nights of the event, alongside Bring Me The Horizon (Friday) and Slipknot (Sunday). Download 2023 takes place from the 8th – 11th of June (campsite open 7th – 12th of June).
